Our Philosophy
Move me, astonish me...
The famous French philosopher Diderot once challenged his personified ‘Art’ to: “Move me, astonish me, unnerve me, make me tremble, weep, shudder, rage, then delight my eyes afterwards if you care to.”
In today’s climate of throw-away, re-hashed and clichéd art, our aim is to showcase a very special selection of contemporary artists whose work we feel is fresh, forward-thinking and culturally relevant.
What we’re looking for
We look for works which make bold statements and aim for maximum cultural impact. Like the subversive satire of a Banksy. Or the courage and audacity of Ai Weiwei.
We look for works that ask us to objectively critique ourselves and our lives, our relationship with our consumerist society and the media. Like street artists Faile, D*Face, and Bast who have been heavily influenced by the seminal pop art of Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein and Basquiat.
We look for works that possess a powerful, seductive charm - an intrinsic quality that can be both unnerving and comforting. Like Anthony Micallef and Ernest Zacharevic, whose works evaluate the darkness and celebrate the exuberance of the human condition.

We believe that the success of an artwork lies in its ability to communicate the seemingly intangible and create a powerful connection with its audience. More than that, by inviting us into their world, the artist can simultaneously transform our own.
What we do
At Verso we curate and sell original artwork and limited edition prints from some of the most forward-thinking contemporary and street artists from around the world.
We have built great relationships with an international network of galleries, dealers, publishers and private collectors over the years, allowing us to build a truly outstanding collection.
